The former Ghana international has urged the FA to allow head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, to at least finish the World Cup qualifiers.
49-year-old Otto Addo made a return to the Black Stars in March, 2024 and was handed a three-year contract after the sacking of Chris Hughton.
Since his return to the fold of the senior national team, Addo has endured a torrid period - leading Ghana to their worst-ever AFCON qualifying campaign, failing to annex a single victory. The Black Stars finished bottom of Group F, which included Sudan, Angola, and Niger.
However, despite this bad record, Kingston is convinced that Addo should be allowed to put in some stern strategies in improving the team.
“For me at the moment, we shouldn't change anything,” Kingston told Flashscore.
“I think Otto is even disappointed in himself. And I believe by now he's trying to ask himself questions about what really happened and what he can do to improve it.”
“If we change the coach and the technical team and bring new faces, it will be a disaster.
"I think we should allow him to at least finish the World Cup qualifiers - who knows? Maybe he can qualify. And then after that, we make a decision as a country. So we should give him another opportunity," he concluded.
