Coach Otto Addo has announced Ghana's final 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which starts in Qatar later this month.

The Black Stars are making their fourth appearance at the global showpiece in Qatar after missing out the last edition in 2018. Ghana qualified for the mundial after defeating Nigeria in the final play-off games.

Earlier this month, Otto Addo announced a 55-man squad list for the tournament which has now been trimmed down to twenty-six (26) players to meet the FIFA requirements.
 
The closest Ghana has been to the trophy was in South Africa in 2010 when Milovan Rajevac led the country to a quarterfinal finish.

European-borns such as Inaki Williams and Tariq Lamptey who switched their international allegiance to represent Ghana at the senior level earned a spot in the Black Stars final squad list for the World Cup.
 
Notable absentees from the final squad are Jeffrey Schlupp of Crystal Palace and Hamburg SV forward Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer. 
 
Also, Goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Jojo Wollacott have been ruled out of the tournament due to injuries.
 
Ghana have been housed in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside 2016 European champions Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
 
The Black Stars will begin their 2022 World Cup campaign with Portugal on 24th November, 2022 before playing against Uruguay and South Korea.
