Former Asante Kotoko and King Faisal FC striker, Osman Bashiru has completed a short course to acquire his GFA license D, with his dream of venturing into football coaching after his career still on course.
He was part of the eight-day program that took place mainly at the campus of Kumasi Anglican SHS, with with some of the sessions also held at the premises of Opoku Ware SHS and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)
Having completed this, Bashiru is now eligible to manage most of the lower-division sides in the country but will definitely look to continue with the learning process until he acquires the GFA A license which will make him eligible to work at the highest level
Once a deadly striker in the local topflight, he is remembered mostly by many a Ghanaian football faithful during his time with King Faisal where he excelled very well before leaving for abroad.
He spent almost all his time in Europe in Israel where he featured for clubs like Hapoel Petah Tikva, Hapoel Ashkelon, Sektzia Ness Ziona and Hapoel Herzliya. He furthered on to Asia to have a short spell at DPMM FC at Brunei Darussalam
He returned to the country subsequently in 2013 to join Asante Kotoko before later joining AshantiGold S.C.
