Former vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), George Afriyie has reacted strongly against Kurt Okraku's plans to seek a third term.
Reports widely gaining grounds in the local media suggested that Okraku's led administration is planning to change the GFA statutes, scrapping the two-term limit for its presidents.
According to Afriyie, he will take practical steps, including petitioning directly to the government.
“Kurt Okraku should forget about the amendment to go for a third term,” he stated on Asempa FM.
“I will personally write a petition to the government of Ghana to stop him from going for a third term.
“I will approach every club owner to explain to them why Kurt Okraku can’t go for a third term,” Afriyie added, signalling a broader campaign to challenge the potential bid."
