Thomas Partey has praised Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, commending his tactical acumen and leadership.
The 45-year-old coach, who guided Ghana to the 2022 World Cup, was reappointed in March on a 34-month contract, with an option for an additional 24 months.
Since his return, Addo has overseen crucial back-to-back wins against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, reigniting Ghana’s chances of securing a spot at the tournament.
Ahead of Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, Partey spoke highly of Addo’s approach, stating, "He [Otto Addo] has his ideas and makes them very clear. He ensures everyone understands his plans, and the technical team supports him fully. He has experience, having played in this team, and knows exactly what the team needs. We must follow him because he has the best ideas."
Ghana is set to face Angola later today in their first Group F match at the Baba Yara Stadium, before traveling to Berkane to take on Niger on Monday, September 9, for their second group encounter.
