World Cup-winning coach Joachim Löw has dismissed reports linking him to the Black Stars coaching job, insisting he has not been contacted by the Ghana Football Association despite growing speculation.

The coaching position became vacant following the dismissal of Otto Addo after Ghana’s disappointing March international window, where defeats to Austria and Germany exposed major concerns ahead of the tournament.

The German tactician has been strongly linked with the role in recent days, with local reports even suggesting he was close to taking over ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on a reported salary of €150,000.

However, speaking to SkySports, the experienced gaffer moved quickly to shut down those claims; “Officially, no one from Ghana has spoken to me.”

Löw’s comments further deepen the uncertainty surrounding the Black Stars job, with other linked candidates such as Walid Regragui, Hervé Renard and Tom Saintfiet also not in pole position to take over.

With time running out, the GFA faces increasing pressure to appoint a coach ahead of upcoming friendlies against Mexico and Wales, crucial matches that will help shape preparations for the World Cup.
