The experienced tactician was heavily linked with the vacant coaching position of the four-time African champions, but the 66-year-old highly-rated gaffer has now distanced himself from being in a position to take up the hot seat

Former German national football team coach Joachim Löw has denied Ghana Football Association (GFA) contact over the Black Stars coaching role.

Report gained currency in the media that the 2014 World Cup winning coach was on the verge of landing the top job of the west African national football team on a short-term contract and was due to earn a salary of €150,000 every month under the proposed agreement tabled before him by the football governing body.

However, in reacting to the speculation linking him with the managerial position, the German revered coach has said he has had no official contact from Ghana over the Black Stars job, by telling Sky Germany: ''With me, officially, nobody from Ghana has spoken.''

Ghana are now in dire need of a new manager to take up the vacant coaching role as the global football event in the North American nations is set to begin in two months time.
