Former Brong Ahafo Football Association chairman Ralph Gyambrah has criticised the Ghana Football Association over what he describes as poor decision-making in appointing Black Stars coaches.
Gyambrah's comments follow the departure of Otto Addo, who left his role after Ghana’s back-to-back defeats to Austria and Germany during the March international window.
Addo’s return for a second spell in charge had been seen as an effort to bring stability and rebuild confidence in the national team, but results did not meet expectations.
In the past six years, the GFA has appointed four different head coaches, a trend that has raised concerns about consistency and long-term planning.
Speaking to Takoradi-based Connect FM, Gyambrah questioned the approach taken by the GFA in selecting coaches.
“When decisions are being taken to hire a coach for the Black Stars, the decision must be thought through so that you minimise chances of failure, but we did not do it that way,” he said.
The GFA, led by president Kurt Okraku, has indicated that a new coach will be appointed within the next two weeks as the search for a replacement gathers pace.
