Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku has reiterated with so much optimism that, he's performed beyond what he stated in his manifesto but added there is still a lot to do to raise the standard of our game.

The enterprising football administrator was voted into office for his first term in October 2019 after the campaign message themed ‘Igniting passion and creating wealth for all’ played a vital role in getting him the Presidential seat.

It is widely expected that the GFA should go to the polls at some point in 2023 as current executives would have run the full length of their tenure in October.

There has been a divided opinion in the country with some people on the side that, Kurt and his administration haven't lived up to the height however, majority also feels he is the right man to lead our football and should go unopposed in the next elections.

In an interview with Juliet Bawuah on SuperSport, the WAFU Zone B President believes he deserves another term premising it to what he's achieved so far and added they still have more to work on and believes the Ghanaian game will surely rise to the standard under his supervision.

“Normally, I would not want to look into the manifesto because if it is about ticking the boxes on the provisions of the manifesto, we have achieved."

“I think we have done beyond the manifesto, some of the things we have delivered to our football people have been special and amazing. That’s not to say that we are wholly complete, there is a lot more work to be done for our game.

“I belong to that school of thought that for those footballing products we enjoy on TV from the European market, we should be in a position to deliver same for our people in our country and that is what inspires me a lot. Even though we have done well, I still believe there is more work to be done.

“I know it’s a herculean task but Rome was not built in a day. As we fix the fundamental problems, our clubs will stand on their feet, our clubs will be more attractive, they will have more resources and hire the right people and our industry will improve and hopefully, by that time, we will have a lot more TV stations who are interested in the product and that will bring in more resources and surely, our industry will get to the promised land,” he added.
