In the wake of Swedru All Blacks' triumphant return to the Ghana Premier League, club leading attacker Rudolf Mensah has declared that the club's promotion was nothing short of destiny.

Speaking to the media after their emphatic 3-0 win over New Edubiase i in the Access Bank Division One League Zone Two decider, Mensah was full of praise for the team’s resilience, commitment, and the unwavering support of fans throughout the season.

Mensah, who lit up his season with the Swedru outfit by bagging 24 goals in 25 matches, was unwavering in his belief that their rise to the top tier was written in the stars.

“It’s great to be part of history, to be able to lead the Swedru All Blacks after 16 years, back into the Ghana Premier League. We are highly elated, we are feeling good. We knew that we were destined for the Premier League…the feeling is great, the euphoria around here is quite massive so we thank God for that.”

Swedru All Blacks, one of Ghana’s storied clubs with a rich legacy dating back to the 1930s, had languished in the lower divisions for over a decade. However, under new management and with significant investments in player development and infrastructure, the team has undergone a remarkable transformation.

With their spot now secured in the Ghanaian top flight, All Blacks will shift focus to preparing for life in the Premier League, where they will face off against Ghana’s elite clubs, including Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, and Bibiani Gold Stars.

“We’re not just going to make up the numbers,” Mensah added. “We are coming to compete, to make a statement, and to restore the pride of Swedru All Blacks.”

Fans are still in the celebration mood in Swedru, with local streets adorned in the club’s black and white colors. The return to the Premier League marks a new chapter for the club and a hopeful future for its passionate supporters.
