Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club on Monday, June 13, 2022 sent a protest document to the Ghana Football Association against Match Week 30 opponents Swedru All Blacks.

All Blacks condemned Hasaacas to relegation with a 4–0 win at the Swedru Stadium on the final day of the Division One League which meant the Sekondi-based side will finish the season 14 on the Division One League Zone 2 log.

Hasaacas FC needed a win to escape the drop but failed to do so against Swedru All Blacks.

The former Ghana Premier League winners will be competing in the Western Regional Division Two League for the 2022/2023 season if its claim for boardroom points goes south.

According to a document sighted by kickgh.com the Club has sighted Article 33(h) of the Division One League Regulation which states “as a league club, it fails to submit its audited accounts for the year preceding the just ended league season before the commencement of the new league season” – under the forfeiture of matches.

Per the GFA laws, forfeiture of match demands club loses 6 points – 3 awarded to the opponent and 3 deducted from already accumulated points.

It will be the first time such laws will be tested in Ghana’s football history.

The Club Licensing processes before the commencement of each football season demand that Club’s submit their audited accounts.

There is no doubt and no ambiguity in the said Article 33(h) of the Division One League Regulations; it’s a case of whether or not Swedru All Blacks submitted its audited accounts before the commencement of the 2021/22 Football Season.

From our checks, several clubs fail to submit their audited accounts before the season commences and for a matter of fact there are evidences of the GFA allowing clubs to play the season despite not being able to meet the legal, sporting, administrative and other criteria.

By bringing this to light, things will be taking a different turn heading into the subsequent seasons if the GFA will be using this as a case study.

With Swedru All Blacks finished the season with 44 points, 9 points clear off Hasaacas FC and 6 ahead of 12th placed Pacific Heroes FC.
