Nana Joe Adarkwa has confirmed his departure from Women's Premier League side Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC after nine years.
The experienced tactician announced his decision on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, to step down from his position as the head coach of the Techiman-based club.
Nana Joe Adarkwa guided Ampem Darkoa Ladies to end Hasaacas Ladies dominance in the Women's Premier League by securing a historic feat of winning the league title in 2015.
During his nine-year stay at the club, he guided Ampem Darkoa Ladies to four Premier League titles, two FA Cup titles, and two Super Cups.
“As we part ways, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to coach and mentor each of you,” he said in his farewell letter.
“Your dedication, passion, and perseverance have inspired me every step of the way.”
“I'm so proud of the progress we've made together, the challenges we've overcome, and the memories we've created.”
“You've not only grown as athletes but also as individuals, and I have no doubt that you'll carry the lessons and values we've shared onto future endeavors.”
“Thank you again for an unforgettable journey. I'll be cheering for each of you every step of the way.”
Adarkwa believes he will soon make a choice about his next chapter, but for now, he will concentrate on his role as national U-17 coach, having just led the Black Maidens to the WAFU B U-17 Girls' Cup victory.
