Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku has pleaded with the indigenous football fans to stop the recent habit of booing players when they are underperforming in the national colours.
He is making this humble plea on the back of what happened to Black Princesses striker Abdulai Mukarama last night when they took on Tanzanian in Cape Coast in the ongoing 2023 African Games.
The first player to succumb to such an abuse was Black Stars left-back Baba Abdul Rahman in Kumasi against Central African Republic in the final game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Obviously, booing of players for poor display isn't always the best option since it will only kill the confidence of the players and won't in anyway help them improve their game.
With this gradually growing rampant, the GFA President has expressed a huge concern towards that and has urged the section of Ghanaian football fans engaged in that to put an end to that act and rather support our various national teams regardless the situation. He wrote on his page on Facebook;
