Ghanaian international, Thomas Teye Partey has expressed desire to play at the Mundial again and is very optimistic the Black Stars will prevail in the qualifiers to punch their ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Partey, stayed injury-free throughout the just-ended season with over 50 appearances for Arsenal with seven-goal involvements
However, Partey in previous years has not been consistent with the Black Stars but returned recently to feature in the last World Cup qualifiers having netted a brace against Madagascar
But, he was once again recently out of the squad for the Unity Cup tournament which was held late last month in London where Ghana finished third.
Partey, who turns 31 today, has only one World Cup appearance and wishes for another and is very optimistic they will prevail in their remaining matches to book a spot in USA, Canada and Mexico in 2026
"As players we want to be at the World Cup. We were there the last time and we saw how nice it is and we want to be there again so hopefully we win the rest of the games and we would be there."
The Black Stars will return to action in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September to face Chad and Mali, and wins in these games will strongly enhance their qualification chances
