Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo has pledged that the playing body will fight with everything to ensure Ghana books a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The four-time African champions revived their qualification hopes with a narrow 1-0 victory over Mali, bouncing back from a disappointing 1-1 draw against Chad in the September international window.

That result lifted Ghana to the top of Group I with 19 points, but Otto Addo’s men will still need at least one more victory to seal automatic qualification for the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

“We have to give our all to make the dream of 2026 World Cup qualification a reality. That’s what Ghanaians expect of us,” the 25-year-old Real Oviedo midfielder told Graphic Sports.

The Black Stars will face Central African Republic and Comoros in their final qualifying fixtures scheduled for October, games that will decide their fate on the road to North America.

Ghana has already appeared in four World Cups — 2006 (Germany), 2010 (South Africa), 2014 (Brazil), and 2022 (Qatar) — and Sibo is determined to be part of the squad that extends the country’s proud record on the global stage.
