Ghana football administrator Isaac Tetteh, popularly known as TT Brothers, has urged the Black Stars to move on from past World Cup memories and focus on proper preparation ahead of the 2026 tournament.

Tetteh believes Ghana must approach the upcoming World Cup as a new challenge, rather than relying on the legacy of their historic 2010 run in South Africa.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Panama, and Croatia, and will begin their mundial campaign against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field.

Speaking on Peace FM, Tetteh said: “To be honest with you, I think that if all of us plan that this World Cup we want to show the world that what we did in 2010 in South Africa we can do it again or even improve on it, then this is a good test for us.”

He warned against complacency, stressing that modern football no longer respects reputation alone.

“One thing we have to know is that football has changed. If you get two or three players who are very good and consistent, you can change many things,” he said.

“All this talk about history, who we have beaten before or who cannot beat us, those things are in the past.”

Tetteh also pointed to Nigeria’s failure to qualify as a clear warning sign.

“It is a lesson for all of us. That is why our brothers Nigeria couldn’t qualify. When you think you are on a high level and don’t respect smaller countries, they will surprise you,” he added.

Ghana will face Germany in a friendly in March as they prepare for the World Cup in the US, Mexico, and Canada
