Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II has expressed his admiration for the progress made under the leadership of Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku.
The traditional ruler, who owns Ghana Premier League club Aduana Stars, lauded Okraku for his impactful leadership since assuming office in 2019. His remarks came after Okraku and his team visited the Dormaahene to discuss the development of football in the country.
During the visit, Okraku briefed the Dormaahene on the GFA's recent activities in the Brong Ahafo region, including the "Meet The Press" series and various stakeholder engagements.
"I want to thank you for the visit. You have brought a lot of innovations to the administration of our game, and I am confident that we will reap the results in due course," Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II stated.
He emphasized the need for patience as Ghana's football continues to grow, noting that other nations have made significant strides and are now competitive with established football powerhouses like Ghana. The Dormaahene also commended the GFA for the swift delivery of judicial decisions, a departure from the past era of delayed judgments.
"I have taken notice of the rapidity with which judicial decisions are delivered. The era of delayed judgments is now a thing of the past, and that, for me, is welcoming. I urge you to continue this trajectory of dispensing justice fairly and promptly."
The Dormaahene also urged the GFA President and his Executive Council to remain fair and impartial in their dealings with all members, pledging his continued support for Okraku and the association.
"Let me hasten to add that despite the immense gains made under your leadership, I will urge you to deal decisively and fairly with all manner of persons or groups. There should be no bias toward certain people and certain groups of people. The chips must fall where they must, and this must be done with an open mind and fairness."
"We'll continue to offer our support to you, President Simeon-Okraku, and the Ghana Football Association," he concluded.
