Young Apostles and Nations FC share the spoils with a 0-0 draw at the Nana Abrefa Nketia VII Park in the Ghana Premier League, leaving the hosts yet to record a victory with one defeat, one draw from two, while the visitors remain unbeaten with two points.
Nations FC had a strong start to the first half and looked in control for the opening 15 minutes with no goal glaring opportunity.
However, Apostles quickly grew into the game and threatened to open the scoring on several occasions.
The home side gained further control, beating the visitors to every second ball and dominating the play, eventually failing to break the deadlock after a brilliant piece of play.
Kasim Mingle’s men had a burst of action to start the second 45 minutes, but the game soon reverted to the pattern of the first half, with Apostles continuing to find more joy against their opponents.
A flurry of two positive substitutions from Asare Bediako in the 75th minutes saw Apostles step up their performance, threatening to break the virginity of the game on several occasions but being denied by Kofi Mensah and a stern Nations FC defence.
Young Apostles found the back of the net in the latter stage of the game but it was shockingly disallowed by the referees, becoming a talking point among the supporters of the Agya Na Ɔwɔ Tumi lads and journalists after the final whistle was blown.
