Berekum Chelsea on Sunday afternoon opened their winning account as they eased past Karela United 1-0 at Golden City Park.
In Boadu's first competitive home match in front of the Kop since the start of the season last weekend, Chelsea broke the Passion and Pride's resistance early doors through a Mezack Afriyie's goal, but offensive inspiration was otherwise in short supply.
Jimmy Cobblah's men, who showcased their own potent threat when given the chance to surge upfront - often managed to snuff out B. Chelsea's passing moves and defend their box well, leading to a noticeably flat Golden City Park atmosphere.
But, whatever choice words Samuel Boadu had for his players at halftime went down a treat, as the Bibires began to carve out chances at will as the final quarter approached.
B. Chelsea could have also shown more attacking intent in the first half in particular, but Boadu's men exhibited their counter-attacking excellence and ability to rapidly move up a gear in what was a merited victory.
A reunion with Nsoatreman awaits B. Chelsea in game-week three which has been postponed due to the Efiri Tete Amanaso CAF Confederation Cup campaign. They will, however sit at home and face Kotoko in game-week four on September 27.
