Tamale City missed out on a chance to play in Ghana's elite division after their 2-1 loss to Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium last month.

Just because they failed to qualify doesn't mean they lack prize footballing assets in their ranks. In fact, they have players who could easily play a part for the very best in the division—some from a starting role, others perhaps in a more rotational one.

Here, kickgh.com takes a look at the 3 Tamale City players that could be snapped up by Ghana's topflight clubs.

Damange Iddrisu Zakari

A very technically gifted midfielder, Damange Iddrisu Zakari excelled for this term. The assist king has been in inspired form, racking up 18 assists to go with his 7 goals in just 27 league outings for Tamale City in his debut season at the club.

His ability to pick out a teammate has been on show throughout the season, whether it's picking up space in between the lines or drifting out wide, his keen eye for the sublime rarely fails to deliver.

His ability on and off the ball and his impressive technique will certainly be something for clubs to consider.

Emmanuel Kotei

Intelligence has become a key feature of Kotei's forward-thinking game, knowing exactly when to hold his position and when to make lung-bursting 50-yard dash into the final third.

Defensively, 'Mr Reliable' as he is known among fans of Tamale City remains an awesome proposition, one that all managers would love to have in their team. Solid, dependable, positionally he is excellent, always the correct distance from his colleagues and opponent.

Kotei has earned plaudits for his speed, technical qualities and ability to make a tackle. In other words, he’s all you could ever want in a right-back.

Blessed with lightening pace and lovely close control, he is a real swashbuckling full-back capable of driving deep into opposition territory with the ball at his feet.

He registered 11 assists and won MVP accolades in the just ended season.

Mohammed Yahaya

The 17-year-old has had a seamless evolution from a winger into a new role as a no.9, scoring 17 goals, 5 assists and won 4 MVPs for Tamale City in the first half of the season. The silky forward has frequently dazzled with his skill, pace and trickery.

A vital cog in the Citizens' side, he is showing a maturity that belies his years with the level of performances he continues to demonstrate in the final third.

Along with his breathtaking consistency and reliability, he can also produce some moments of unrivalled spectacular wonder. One thing is for certain is that Tamale City won’t be held to ransom over their prize asset.

The young attacker has plenty to learn and improve on but in a side where he would be encouraged to use his shooting and passing skills he could step up yet another level.
