Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi has been linked with a surprise move to Ghana Premier League arch-rivals Asante Kotoko ahead of the close of the current transfer window.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Phobians from Dreams FC at the start of the 2025/26 season, is understood to be without a long-term contract, a situation that has fuelled speculation over his future at Pobiman.
Kickgh.com reports that Agbasi is not fully settled at Hearts of Oak, even though he has played well while first-choice goalkeeper Benjamin Asare was injured. His performances have caught the attention of Kotoko, who are preparing for the possible departure of Guinean goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, whose contract ends in June 2026.
Kotoko are yet to agree fresh terms with Camara, and the Porcupine Warriors club could move quickly to secure Agbasi as part of their goalkeeping plans.
Agbasi is believed to be open to a move, with regular first-team football at Hearts of Oak not guaranteed following Asare’s return from injury. His recent displays have sparked debate over the club’s first-choice goalkeeper role.
The silky goalkeeper has made eight appearances for Hearts of Oak in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, keeping a clean sheet in every match.
