Young Apostles president Samuel Anim Addo has stated that Asante Kotoko were fortunate to avoid defeat in their Ghana Premier League clash.

The match, held at Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, ended in a 1-1 draw, marking a hard-fought contest for both sides.

The first half concluded in a thrilling goalless stalemate, with both teams struggling to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Young Apostles broke the deadlock in the 51st minute through Daniel Lomotey, showcasing their resilience despite Kotoko's dominance in possession.

Emmanuel Antwi, however, equalized for the Porcupine Warriors in the 79th minute with a well-executed shot, salvaging a point for the record champions.

In a post-match interview with Kessben FM, Anim Addo expressed his disappointment and claimed that Kotoko was lucky to escape with a draw, saying, "Asante Kotoko were lucky to avoid defeat and must be thankful to their God."

Asante Kotoko will face Berekum Chelsea in their next match, while Young Apostles seek their first league victory against Aduana Stars, who recently suffered a defeat to Nations FC. Young Apostles remain winless after two draws and one loss in their opening three games.
