Newly appointed coach of Hearts of Oak Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has opened up on his decision to take up the coaching job at the Phobians ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Didi Dramani penned a two-year contract with Hearts of Oak, replacing Ivorian gaffer Aboubakar Ouattara, who was dismissed by the club at the end of the last season's campaign.
Despite Ouattara's efforts to secure a top four spot for the Capital-based club, he was asked to step aside from his position as head coach to take up advisory role on the Hearts of Oak board.
Speaking to Max TV, Didi Dramani revealed that professionalism was a key factor to his decision to join the club.
“I’m a professional, devoid of my passion and soft touch,” he stated. “I like to see things done in the right way. I had a thorough discussion with the club as to why they wanted me, and I realised they were ready for a purposeful change.”
Dramani, who previously coached the Black Maidens and Asante Kotoko, is expected to lead a revival at Hearts of Oak following a disappointing, trophyless campaign last season.
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of September 12.
