Former Dreams FC shot-stopper Solomon Agbasi has revealed he would welcome a move to Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko—provided the terms of the deal are right.
In an exclusive interview with Asempa Sports, the 25-year-old goalkeeper expressed his openness to joining either of the traditional Ghanaian powerhouses as he considers his next step following his departure from Dreams FC.
“If I get a call-up from Accra Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko, I won’t hesitate—but it will depend on the deal,” Agbasi said.
Agbasi, who played a key role in Dreams FC’s historic run to the semi-finals of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup, recently parted ways with the Dawu-based club after an impressive spell. He was widely praised for his commanding presence, quick reflexes, and consistency during both their domestic and continental campaigns.
His performances have reportedly attracted interest from several top-flight clubs in Ghana and beyond, with Hearts of Oak and Kotoko both known to be in the market for experienced goalkeepers ahead of the new season.
With both clubs aiming to rebuild after disappointing campaigns, Agbasi’s availability adds an experienced and proven option between the sticks. However, the former Dreams FC man made it clear that any potential move would be guided by professionalism and a mutually beneficial agreement.
“I’m focused on my future, and wherever the right opportunity presents itself—locally or abroad—I’m ready to give my best,” he added.
Agbasi’s next move is expected to be a major point of interest during the upcoming transfer window as Hearts and Kotoko seek to bolster their squads in a bid to reclaim dominance in Ghanaian football.
