Bibiani Gold Stars interim head coach Nana Yaw Amankwah has expressed his satisfaction with his side’s impressive 2–2 draw against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
The Miners put up a resilient display on Saturday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium, earning a valuable point in their Week 7 encounter of the 2025/26 campaign.
Speaking after the match, Amankwah commended his players for their fighting spirit and tactical discipline, highlighting their improvement in recent games.
“Our boys are now picking up very well, and we knew we were going to perform in this game — no wonder we did well,” he said.
The coach also revealed that a tactical adjustment in the second half was key to their comeback, as they identified weaknesses in Hearts of Oak’s defensive setup.
“In the second half, we changed our strategy because we knew we could break them. We realized they were vulnerable to counterattacks, and we took advantage of that,” Amankwah explained.
The draw keeps Gold Stars in fourth place on the Ghana Premier League table with 13 points — level on points with Hearts of Oak, who sit sixth.
