Abdul Bashiru, the assistant coach of Hearts of Oak, has raised allegations against Moses Armah Parker, the President of Medeama, accusing him of entering the referee's dressing room at halftime during their recent match in Tarkwa.
In the wake of their defeat to Medeama SC, Bashiru called for an immediate investigation by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) into the alleged interference.
The Phobians suffered their third consecutive defeat in the Ghana Premier League, marking a downturn in their recent form despite enjoying an eight-game unbeaten run.
Expressing his discontent with the referee's performance, Bashiru highlighted an incident involving a Medeama SC official entering the referee's dressing room at halftime, calling it into question.
"There is something that I want to say, what happened after the first half, the GFA must have a look at it. How can a bankroller after the first half go inside the referee’s dressing room?" Bashiru questioned, shedding light on the concerning situation.
Bashiru further alleged bias from the referee towards Medeama SC, citing instances of intimidation tactics and a noticeable change in behavior during the second half of the match.
While acknowledging Medeama's superiority on the day, Bashiru emphasized the impact of the referee's actions on their defeat, leaving onlookers and fans concerned.
"You can see, the referee completely changed in the second half," Bashiru continued, suggesting a perceived shift in the officiating during the match.
As Hearts of Oak shifts their focus to their upcoming match against Karela United, they face a crucial period in their campaign as they aim to bounce back from their recent setbacks and regain momentum in the league.
