Hearts of Oaks' quest to lure back their former defender Raddy Ovouka back won't materialize after the player has left the door closed, insisting he has no intentions of returning to the club.
Hearts of Oak are still exploring ways to bolster their backline and a grapevine source has told Kickgh.com that the Phobians are interested in re-signing the Congolese, possibly in a deal which could see some of their underperforming defenders being weed-out from the club, but Raddy Ovouka says he has no plans to return to the fold of the club.
Speaking to ghanasportspage.com, Ovouka said: "Before I left the club, there were a lot of misunderstandings. They didn’t understand me, I didn’t understand them.
"No board member has called me to check on me whether I’m okay or not. I’m a Hearts of Oak player and you need to check on the players if they are okay and in good condition. The club never did that.
"They gave me the platform which I will never forget and I thank them for everything they have done for me. But right now I’ll say I can’t come back but maybe in the future, I can come back," he concluded.
Ovouka, 24, who currently plays for Kosovan club Drita Gjilan was in the fold of the Ghanaian giants for four seasons (2018-2022) before making a switch to United States of America side New Mexico United in January, 2022.
