In his debut as King Faisal's head coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu described the team's goalless draw against Asante Kotoko as a challenging game and has vowed to save the club from being relegated.

Despite his appointment being confirmed just before the match, which was the week 21 outstanding fixture of the Ghana Premier League held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the former Eleven Wonders and Medeama SC coach managed to secure a decent draw against the defending champions in the Kumasi derby.

Osei-Fosu noted that the match was challenging because he only had one training session with the team, and they played with ten men, which forced them to focus on defending and avoiding conceding. Although they aimed to win, he acknowledged that football can be unpredictable.

"It was a difficult game, considering I had only one session with the team. We also went down to ten men, so we had to defend and not concede. We wanted to win, trust me, we wanted to win. But it's football."

The confident coach is determined to use his coaching skills to guide King Faisal, who currently ranks 10th on the league table with 32 points, to avoid relegation.

He considers himself results-oriented and has previously saved Dreams FC, and he is committed to achieving the same for King Faisal.

"The reality is that I'm results-oriented. I saved Dreams FC, and I'm here to save King Faisal too."
