FC Samartex gaffer, Nurudeen Amadu has admitted the game against Bibiani Goldstars was a very difficult one but feels they would have carried the day if they had been potent enough upfront.
The Timber Giants were very close to snatching their second win of the season but eventually ended up playing out a 2-2 draw against the Miners in GPL outstanding match-week 2 fixture.
Emmanuel Mamah opened the scoring account in the first half from the spot and held on until the 75th minute where Kelvin Oppong founded the equalizer to split the points.
In a post-match interview, the experienced gaffer complained of how wasteful they have been and feels the absence of certain players is somehow affecting them but they will have to still find way to curb that situation in their subsequent games since that isn't an excuse for them to fall on.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game. We didn't play badly but our attack is a bit weak and this is what we have for now do we have to keep working so that we can get the goals."
"You can see our attacking potency is weak. It's not that strong and is affecting us. The midfielders are always trying their best but the attack has been slow. I think we should have been more clinical than what we did."
The champions after have a win and two draws from their opening three games in the league having won over newbies Vision FC and also got held by Dreams FC on the opening day.
FC Samartex will face Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex in the next round of matches this weekend.
