Well, we thought we'd never get here but here we are. The League is drawing to a close. The trophy will be been handed to Asante Kotoko on Sunday, last place has been decided but there's still a little left to play for on the final two games.
This season has seen many an emerging young player make their mark in style but the category that continues to quietly deliver is that of the over 30s.
So, let's give the golden oldies the credit they deserve by naming our 30s team of the season.
GK- Joseph Addo (Aduana Stars)
Easy to bypass the fact that Addo is now in his 13th year as a professional and he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.
His performances between the sticks for the Ogya family have been crucial in propelling them since his arrival in 2016. The 31-year-old has kept 11clean sheets and conceded 15 goals in 22 appearances this season.
RB- Samuel Inkoom ( Hearts of Oak)
The FIFA U-20 World Cup winner returned to Ghana in a bid to returned to relaunched his career with his former club Kotoko but the move fell on rocks.
The Phobians gave him the opportunity to prove his worth and Inkoom grabbed this opportunity with both hands putting in solid and splendid performances anytime he steps on the pitch.
His experience has been pivotal to keeping Samuel Boadu side in the top four and a place in the FA Cup final.
He may not have the speed and agility he once had, but his tactical awareness and versatility is invaluable.
CB- Farouk Adams ( Bibiani Goldstars)
A key cog in Bibiani Goldstars' incredible campaign in their debut season in the elite league.
His partnership with Yakubu Haqq at the heart of the Miners' defence, not to mention their notorious overlapping runs, has taken the top division by storm.
CB- Emmanuel Akuoko ( Aduana Stars)
He made a name for himself during his time with Blackpool and their first season in the Premier League back in 2009/10. His performances for the Ogya family in their league triumph made him one of the best centre-backs in the league.
He has dropped down in the pecking order at the over the last two seasons but still has the talent to shield the defence when he does play.
LB - Abdul Bashiru ( Olympics)
Abdul Bashiru began his career at Sekondi Eleven Wise and has a vast experience of playing in the Premier League with spells at Hearts, Dreams FC, Inter Allies and Ashantigold.
He can read the game well from left-back and has the intelligence to know when to stay back and when to get forward overlapping the winger to put a dangerous cross into the box.
DM- Justice Blay (Asante Kotoko)
The Chief Justice as he is affectionately known joined Kotoko in the second half of the season after a superb spell with Medeama. Sadly, Blay struggled to replicate his fine form at Kotoko and was ruled out for the remainder of the season through injury.
Blay is not known for his ability to score goals, he is known for his ability to read the game from the middle of the pitch and stop any attacks breaking out from the opposition - something he does very well and something he will undoubtedly continue to do for Prosper Narteh Ogum when fit.
CM- Sulley Muntari ( Hearts of Oak)
Ghanaian veteran Muntari will turn 38 in August but is still delivering delicious assists, set plays and long passes with ease.
The classy playmaker has been one of the Phobians top performers this term. Whether he can sustain such a high level for another year remains to be seen but just having him around will surely benefit the club as they push for Africa.
Muntari has a huge amount of experience on the field and is certainly a big character in the dressing room at Hearts. There are a lot of players learning from Muntari and his ability to lead a team
RW- Theophilus Anobaah ( Medeama)
The 33-year-old winger has seen few games this campaign but on the few occasions he stepped on the pitch, he reminded everyone of his quality which comprises pace and trickery.
He loves to terrorise full-backs with his pace and tricks of which he possess in abundance despite his age.
LW- Sam Adams ( Aduana Stars)
He has the breakneck pace over short distances that mean he can glide past defenders almost unknowingly, and the weight of his touch - first, second, third, fourth, etc. - is so meticulous that he's a menace to get the ball off.
It's not just his right wand that dazzles. His extensive repertoire of skills can bamboozle even the most experienced defender, cutting either outside or inside and laying off for a teammate with measured precision. His 4 goals and 3 assists corroborate this claim.
ST- Ahmed Toure ( Medeama)
In 19 appearances for the Mauves and Yellow, Toure has scored 3 goals and registered 2 assists.
A combination of injuries, off-field issues and beef with Umar Abdul Rabi hasn't help, but there's no denying that Toure is a thorn in the flesh of defenders of he decides to play.
ST- Yahaya Mohammed (Aduana Stars)
Unable to command a regular playing time as was the case seasons prior, the burly striker has netted 3 times and recorded 2 assists in 18 appearances for Aduana Stars.
It is no doubt that Yahaya Mohammed has the attributes to change a game and his physique is a danger for any defender in the league.
