The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Albert Commey Aryeetey has stated that the inconsistent display of his side at the start of the 2015/16 GPL season was mainly due to a lack of cohesion and new changes within the playing body.

The 2015/16 Ghana Premier League kicked off in February with the Dormaa-based side succumbing to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Inter-Allies. The currently rejuvenated side lost their first three matches in a row prompting management to appoint Romanian trainer Aristica Cioaba as Head Coach following the resignation of Coach Nureeden Ahmed.

In an exclusive interview with 1 Family Sports, Mr Aryeetey stressed that: “When we started we realized we were facing problems like good dynamics, like people were introvert’s, they don’t know each other and their upbringing were different, so they saw themselves as strangers, and they translated that into play which made us lose three consecutive matches,” he said.

“We sat and decided to talk to them and made them to know very well the caliber of players we’ve recruited and their performances in their previous teams. “But with all these things you need to work on the psyche of the players and get to know them very well, their learning terms are very short. We didn’t lose hope and when things start turning around you need to be patient and now the 1 goal project has now been changed and we’re scoring 3 or 4 and I will say it’s all due to hard work.”

The respected football administrator revealed that their main target for this year’s exciting PL season is to win it all, “Our target is to win the league and be among the best and whatever God decides, he alone knows and will grant us our hearts desires, and when indeed God says yes no one can say no.” The Fire Club lies fourth on the log in the ongoing Premier League and will take on Accra Hearts of Oak this Sunday at the nation’s Wembley.
