Alhaji Brimah Akanbi, a board member of Hearts of Oak, has criticized certain sports journalists whom he refers to as "latter-day saints" with minimal data bundles of 2 cedis for spreading misinformation to the public.

Akanbi expressed his disappointment with these media personnel, emphasizing that their role should be to provide accurate information and educate the public rather than spreading false stories that incite fans against the club's management.

He highlighted the impact of social media platforms like WhatsApp, where anyone with a small data bundle feels empowered to share any content without verifying its authenticity.

Akanbi pointed out that these individuals often fail to authenticate their sources when questioned about the origin of the stories they disseminate.

"Let me tell you, about 10 years ago, was it like this when there was no Whatsapp. Now the later day saints journalists feel if he or she has 10 or 2 cedis data bundle, the person will just post anything"

"Meanwhile, if you ask him or her where he/she got the story from the person would not be able to authenticate," Alhaji Akanbi shared these remarks during an appearance on Kessben TV at the 29th GFA Ordinary Congress.
