Asante Kotoko are back to winning ways after drubbing Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League match-week 25 encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Asante Kotoko recorded a 4-0 resounding home victory over the Tamale based club on Sunday evening to move up to fifth position on the Ghana Premier League log.

 
Interim coach Abdulai Gazale secured his first-ever win for the Porcupine Warriors against Real Tamale United since he took over following the sacking of Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo.
 
Real Tamale United played over sixty minutes of the game as a manless side following the straight red card shown to goalkeeper Osei Yaw on the half-hour mark.
 
Asante Kotoko commenced the game on a good note with an intense pressure on the visitors as Matheus De Souza came close to open the score with header but a timely goal-line clearance from Sadat Mohammed denied the host.
 
On the 36th minute, Asante Kotoko fired up the opener through a stunning free-kick effected by Augustine Agyapong which saw newly introduced goalkeeper Lukman Sheriff fumbling in his net.
 
Asante Kotoko kept tormenting the backline of Real Tamale United with the final ten minutes of doubling the lead before the break but goalkeeper Lukman Sheriff denied them as it ended in a 1-0 win for the first half.
 
Two minutes after the break, Referee Daniel Laryea awarded a penalty to Asante Kotoko which two-goal hero Steven Mukwala Dese elected himself to brilliantly convert it firmly into the back of the net.
 
Asante Kotoko enjoyed majority of the game possession to register two additional goals through Steven Mukwala and Matheus De Souza.
 
Mukwala notched up his second goal of the day with a brilliant strike on the 64th minute of the game.
 
Asante Kotoko made a tactical substitution with the introduction of George Mfegue, Sheriff Mohammed and Enoch Morrison.
 
Brazilian international Matheus De Souza completed their demolition exercise with his debut goal on the 91st minute to end the match in a 4-0 heavy win for the last season's Premier League champions.
