Ghana and Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Polo has advised coach Martin Koopman to stop apportioning blame at his players and rather look for constructive solutions.
Koopman has come under fire for his player selection and tactics in Hearts of Oaks' inability to win matches this season.
The team lead by the Dutch tactician has disjointed centrally in the ongoing 2023-24 Ghana Premier League without the presence of a killer finisher.
Koopman went ahead to criticize his team after their match-week four clash for not being able to match the perseverance inspirited within Dreams FC players, who were out for the kill following April's Premier League round 25 draw stalemate at Dawu.
But Polo in an interview with Happy FM called out the coach to stop the blame game and find a quick solution to the struggles of his attackers.
“The coach wants to apportion blame to the players. In football, it is not only strikers that score goals, strikers are finishers but it depends on how they are fed during the game.
“If the positioning and passing are not good, it is the duty of the coach to make a way for the goalscoring. The team is struggling to create chances, and the little that they are able to create also goes to waste. So you can’t fault the striker alone because strikers are not the only players on the field responsible for scoring," the dribbling magician added.
Cranking the numbers for their upcoming match-week five game against Heart of Lions on Sunday - I, Pascal Amoah will be blatant with Hearts fans that their coach will automatically be shown the exit if he fails to make some attacking transitions and set-up the gumption of the players in such a way that each forward will be tasked with respective goal scoring responsibility.
