Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Frederick Acheampong, has stated they haven't received any notice from Nsoatreman FC that they are withdrawing from the Premier League since the occurred took place over the weekend.

This is due to the unfortunate incidents that transpired in their match-day 19 fixture against giants Asante Kotoko over the weekend at the Nana Koramansah II Park.

Series of incidents happened with some players of both teams engaging in serious exchanges and fights in the early stages of the second half with some supporters involved as well.

The chaos continued even off the pitch and eventually led to the sad killing of die-hard Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Frimpong, famously known as 'Nana Pooley', who was stabbed to death while the game was ongoing. 

The issue has really sparked a huge controversy in the country and has been the topic for discussions so far with three people currently in Police custody including Nsoatreman FC bank-roller Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah. 

Nsoatreman FC PRO Joel Kofi Gyempeh has confirmed they have withdrawn from the league as speculated and reported earlier and added it is right thing to do in this critical moments 

However, GFA EXCO member Frederick Acheampong is saying otherwise as he confirms they haven't received any official notice of withdrawal from the club. He told Nathan Quao on Sporty FM's Breakfast show. 

"We've not received any official notice of Nsoatreman's withdrawal from Ghana Premier League."

The match-day 20 matches has been postponed by the Ghana FA to allow for investigations to go on and as to why the league will continue or not has still not been confirmed yet.
