Bofoakwa Tano's head coach, John Eduafo, reflected on his team's composure despite conceding first against Hearts of Oak during their clash in the Ghana Premier League's 20th week.
The Sunyani-based team remained calm even after conceding the opening goal after 24 minutes and managed to equalize early in the second half, securing a crucial point.
Eduafo commended his team's performance, emphasizing their strong defensive play, ball retention, and adherence to their game plan. He highlighted their ability to withstand pressure and avoid panicking, even when facing adversity on the field.
"We had it, we defended well, we kept the ball, and we played the way we wanted to play. Even though they scored first, we didn’t panic under pressure," Eduafo explained in an interview with StarTimes after the match.
Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng found the back of the net to nullify Salifu Ibrahim's initial goal, resulting in a 1-1 draw to conclude the week 20 fixtures of the league.
Hearts of Oak, under the guidance of new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, saw their two-game winning streak halted with the draw, maintaining their position at 8th place in the league standings.
On the other hand, the draw did little to aid Bofoakwa Tano's battle against relegation, as they remained second from bottom on the league table.
Salifu Ibrahim gave the home team the lead with his goal after 24 minutes, providing them with an advantage heading into halftime.
However, just nine minutes into the second half, Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng's equalizer leveled the score for Bofoakwa Tano, denying Hearts of Oak a victory and securing a draw, which marked Ouattara's first stalemate since taking charge.
