Joseph Asare Bediako, head coach of Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles, has denied reports suggesting he has stepped down from his position.

Speculation about Bediako’s departure gained momentum following Young Apostles’ goalless draw against Bibiani Goldstars in their latest league match.

Addressing the rumors, Bediako, who previously managed Berekum Chelsea and served as an assistant coach for Hearts of Oak, made it clear that he remains committed to his role. “I have not resigned. I’m still at post, that’s all I can say for now,” he told Kessben FM.

The goalless draw at Wenchi Sports Stadium marked yet another challenging game for Young Apostles, who have struggled to find consistency in their first Premier League season. Bediako’s side has managed just two wins from their last ten matches, with four draws and four losses, placing them precariously close to the relegation zone.

Despite the challenges, Bediako, who joined the club at the start of the 2024-25 season, appears determined to turn things around. Young Apostles currently sit only two points above the relegation line, emphasizing the need for an immediate response to improve their standing in the league.
