We haven't got much on our hands as the World Cup is almost here, which runs from November 20 to December 18.

Here's KickGH's comprehensive analytical fisheye lens solely dedicated and wiggled to Ghanaian and African stars who'll be heading into the World Cup in Qatar.

Today's lens is on Lawrence Ati-Zigi who many ardent fans think shouldn't have made the cut for the mundial - judging from his stats for his club FC St. Gallen, a Swiss Super League side.

Ati-Zigi has so far made fourteen appearances this season for the Espen's, conceded twenty-one goals, two clean sheets and has been shown a yellow and one red card.

He has been in the books of the Ghana senior national team since 2017. The former Red Bull Salzburg goalkeeper earned his first call-up for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification games against Congo.

The lanky net-minder made his senior national team debut for Ghana, starting and playing 90 minutes in a friendly match against Iceland that ended in a 2–2 draw.

Ati-Zigi, 25, has been one of the most criticized players in coach Otto Addo's 26-man squad set to feature in the mundial - due to take place in the peninsular Arab country.

His inclusion in Ghana's 26-man roster wasn't too surprising as he won't be left off the list, although there has been calls to dump him from the finalized roster before the big reveal by the head coach of the four-time African champions, but that wasn't going to happen, as he parlayed his way into the final pick.

Will Ati-Zigi dust off the negative assessment, use his goalkeeping acumen, calmness, budding reflexes and reignite his shot-stopping ability with great ooze of confidence as he could easily start and become Ghana's first choice goalkeeper at the tournament?
