The 20-year-old wideman of Ghanaian heritage has extended his loan stay with the English fifth-tier campaigners until next month
English-born Ghanaian winger Michael Adu-Poku has extend his loan deal with National League club Wealdstone FC from Championship side Watford, his mother club have announced.
The promising youngster, who spent the first half of the season on loan at League Two club Barrow, is set to continue his journey with the lowly division outfit until March 17, 2026.
A statement confirming his loan extension deal reads via Watford official website: ''Michael Adu-Poku has extended his loan with National League side Wealdstone until March 17. The 20-year-old has appeared four times for the Stones since initially joining in January.
''Adu-Poku signed a new three-year contract with the Hornets in October 2024 and has also had loan spells at Solihull Moors, Rochdale and Maidstone United. He was on loan with League Two side Barrow earlier this season. The forward has made three appearances for Watford’s first team, including two in the Sky Bet Championship.
''All the best, Michael.''
Given his Ghanaian heritage, Adu-Poku still remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage as he is yet to be cap-tied by the England senior national team.
