English champions Manchester City have completed the signing of Ghanaian youngster Henry Oware in the just-opened summer transfer window.
The 18 year old is currently on the verge of leaving the country to France, to have his medicals and subsequently stay with Man City's sister club ES Troyes.
The Etihad club beat Barcelona, Arsenal, Salzburg and Lille to the young defender, already receiving an international clearance and is set to complete the move.
The City Football Group per reports, paid €1million (£840,000) to Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy SC to acquire the services of the young sensation
Oware is being loaned out to French Ligue 1 side Troyes mainly due to the fact that, he would not be eligible to play in England due to the strict points system for overseas players imposed by the FA.
He has been scouted by the City Football Group for two years before getting the deal done.
The teenager was promoted to the WAFA first team at age 16 from the club’s junior side during the second half of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season. He has featured in eight league games so far this campaign.
