Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana international midfielder Kwame Bonsu has completed a move to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Jandal FC.
The 30-year-old joins the club on a one-year deal as a free agent after parting ways with his previous side, Al-Ain Saudi FC, earlier this year.
Bonsu’s career has taken him across multiple continents. He first moved to Europe in 2013, where he enjoyed a successful four-year spell in Sweden with clubs including Mjølby AI, FC Rosengård, and Gefle IF, before returning to Ghana to relaunch his career with Asante Kotoko.
Since leaving Kotoko in 2019, the versatile midfielder has become something of a journeyman in North Africa and the Middle East, featuring for Esperance de Tunis in Tunisia, Ceramica Cleopatra in Egypt, Al-Bataeh in the UAE, and Naft Al-Basra in Iraq, among others.
Now unveiled by Al-Jandal, Bonsu expressed his determination to make an immediate impact and cement his place in the squad. The Saudi club views his experience and versatility as key assets as they push for a strong campaign in the upcoming season.
