Ghanaian youth international Kelvin Lamptey-Mills has completed a move to Greece after sealing a deal with Super League Greece 2 side Kampaniakos on a free transfer.
The highly rated 20-year-old centre back joined the Greek outfit following successful negotiations over the weekend, putting pen to paper on a one-year contract with an option to extend, as part of a carefully considered step in his career development.
Lamptey-Mills opted for a new challenge after declining a contract extension with Cypriot club MEAP Nisou, paving the way for his switch to Kampaniakos ahead of the new campaign. His current deal is expected to run until the winter of the 2026/27 season, offering him a fresh platform to revive and elevate his career in Europe.
The Ghana U-20 defender enjoyed a promising spell in Cyprus before suffering an injury setback that limited his involvement. He is now determined to rediscover his best form and make a strong impact with his new club.
With previous experience in both the MLS and the Cypriot league, Lamptey-Mills is tipped to become a key and dependable figure in Kampaniakos’ defensive setup this season.
Head coach Apostolos Charalampidis has already welcomed the Ghanaian’s arrival, praising his professionalism, leadership qualities, and defensive attributes, while expressing confidence that his presence will boost the team during a crucial phase of the season.
Lamptey-Mills was also an integral member of the Black Satellites squad that finished third at the 2025 WAFU Zone B tournament, held in Ghana last June, further underlining his pedigree and potential as one of Ghana’s emerging defensive talents.
