FC Nordsjaelland ever-green wonderkid Prince Amoako Junior has said that ''playing for the Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars is a very big dream for me'' as he is yet to gain a call-up at any level of the national teams.
With Caleb Yirenkyi now being a figure in the Black Stars team, the 18-year-old budding star has revealed talks with his team-mate over the affairs of the national side given his keenness to don the jersey of the west African powerhouse in the not-too-distant future over his promising career on the international stage.
Speaking in an interview, the teenage sensation wing-forward has said playing for the senior national team is a very big dream for him as he believes such feat would mean a world to him as well as elevating his confidence to the highest level.
The Right to Dream academy graduate told Joy Sports: ''We’ve had conversations about the national team but it’s never been about what’s on the inside. On the outside from what I see, the national team is always good to play. You’re representing your country and representing the very place that made you.
“For me, it’s always a big deal to play in the national team and to be called up for it. It would mean the world to me and it would just elevate my confidence and everything else will just align. But right now, to play in the national team is a very big dream for me.”
Amoako Junior has so far been on fire for the Tigrene in the Danish top-flight having taken in 21 appearances by scoring 6 times and setting up 5 in this current campaign.
With his rich vein of form at club level, the technical handlers of the Black Stars team would now monitor his progress from afar as they prepare to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
