Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Myron Boadu was on target in his first-ever appearance for FC Twente in their convincing win over RKC Waalwijk in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

Boadu, who made a return to the Eredivisie to join the Reds on the winter transfer deadline day, climbed off the bench to score his debut goal for FC Twente to secure a 3-0 win over RKC Waalwijk at the De Grolsch Veste Stadion.

FC Twente opened the scoring through Ricky Van Wolfswinkel in the 21st minute of the game before Boadu came off the bench to double their lead.

Boadu made an instant impact for FC Twente when he brilliantly found the back of the net on the 79th minute, just a minute of his introduction to replace Ricky Van Wolfswinkel.

Substitute Younes Taha El Idrissi completed their resounding victory with his strike on the 81st minute.

The 23-year-old was acquired on a season-long loan on the winter transfer deadline day from French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco due to limited playing time.

Boadu was born to Ghanaian parents in Amsterdam which makes him eligible to represent Ghana in future despite playing for Netherlands at the youth levels.
