The 20-year-old lanky midfielder of Ghanaian descent has completed his transfer move to the English second-tier side from his Belgian mother club
Ghana-prospect Pierre Dwomoh has joined English Championship side Watford FC on a permanent deal from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Royal Antwerp FC, the club have confirmed.
The ex-RWD Molenbeek loanee joins the former English Premier League campaigners for an undisclosed period of contract right after passing his mandatory medical examinations for the past days.
Announcing the deal, those in charge of the Vicarage Road Stadium have said via their club's official website: "Watford FC confirms the permanent signing of 20-year-old Belgian central midfielder Pierre Dwomoh from Royal Antwerp FC."
"Dwomoh is a youth international for his country who joined Antwerp in July 2021 after making two appearances for Genk."
"He has since played five times for the Belgian Pro League side, while also spending time on loan at Oostende and RWD Molenbeek in his home country."
"Portuguese outfit SC Braga also took Dwomoh on loan between September 2022 and January 2023."
The Ghana-prospect midfielder had this to say right after sealing his move to his new side: "I'm very happy to be here, it's a big club," Dwomoh told watfordfc.com.
"I'm happy that I'll be able to soon show what I'm able to do on the field.
"I'm technical, I like duels, I like to run as well. I like to help my teammates, I like to jump in and just be there for them."
The Mechelen-born talented attacking midfielder is still eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage despite featuring for the Belgium U15, U17 & U1& national youth teams.
