The Romanian second division outfit chief has given the clearest indication that the 25-year-old former CFR Cluj man would be sold to interested suitors in the upcoming winter transfer window

Ceahlăul president Angelo Alistar has confirmed that his side are currently into negotiations with interested clubs for Ghanaian striker Carl Davordzie, with league rivals Sepsi OSK and other suitors from abroad all gunning for his services ahead of the January transfer window.

The ex-Parma U19 youth star has been in terrific form with the Romanian Liga ll side this current campaign so far and such splendid form has gone unnoticed as many admirers across Europe are all in queue for his signature for the second half of the 2025/26 season.

Nonetheless, those at the top echelon of the Piatra Neamț-based club have now affirmed the club's stance on the future of the star-man as they look forward to cashing in on him to interested clubs provided their asking price ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 euros is met going forward.

The Romanian football administrator told newspaper Prosport: ''There are no concrete offers for Carl Davordzie, but there are clubs interested in him, through his agent . He is a wanted, sought-after player, we are in discussions, let's see what will materialize. There are very high chances that he will leave.

''We cannot advance an amount, probably somewhere between 50,000 euros and 100,000 euros. His transfer can help us now, in the short term, because we could pay a salary. It cannot be a solution to break the deadlock in the long term. We all know, the prices for a player in League 2 are not so high that you can solve the problems for a few months, but you can get the maximum salary budget for one month.''

Davordzie has so far netted 10 and assisted 2 in 18 games across all competitions for Ceahlăul in this ongoing football season.

Given his rich vein of form in this current campaign, the Accra-born attacker could make a strong case for himself for a spot in Ghana's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
