Norwegian giants Strømsgodset have completed the signing of midfielder Emmanuel Danso following his departure from Olympique Lyon's reserve team, the club announced.
Strømsgodset have now confirmed the signing of Danso to a contract through 2024 with an option for 2025.
"I am happy to become part of this club and this team. It feels very good to be here," Danso said.
Danso elucidate himself as a midfielder who is always bent on keeping the ball at his feet.
"I would describe myself as a player who loves to have the ball, and distribute passes with both the right and left foot. I'm a 6er," he added.
Danso will wear the number 20 jersey, which is the same role that compatriot Mohammed Abu once had in Strømsgodset.
He had this to say when asked about Mohammed Abu; "I have to be myself, but it feels good to follow the steps he has taken."
Speaking about Danso to the media a few hours before the transfer was announced by the club, Strømsgodset director of football Jostein Flo discussed what he brings to the team.
"Danso is an exciting midfielder with good progress in his passing game. He is calm and wise with the ball at his feet, and fits in well with our style of play. We are very pleased to have him in place, and look forward to following his development going forward,"
