Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks with Bournemouth over a possible move for Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Semenyo has been in outstanding form for the Cherries in recent seasons, earning a contract extension earlier this summer. Bournemouth reportedly valued the winger at £75 million even before his new deal, and with several key departures already in the transfer window, the club is reluctant to sanction his exit.
Spurs, meanwhile, are actively searching for attacking reinforcements before the window closes next week. The urgency has grown following confirmation that James Maddison will miss most of the season through injury. Their pursuits of Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White both collapsed earlier in the summer, leaving them short of creative options.
Romano revealed on his YouTube channel that Semenyo is among the players on Tottenham’s radar.
“In the last 24 to 48 hours, Tottenham also made some calls for other players, including Lucas Paquetá at West Ham. But another name discussed internally is Antoine Semenyo at Bournemouth. Soon it will be time to make final decisions, but for sure, Tottenham will be active again in the market,” he explained.
It remains unclear how Bournemouth responded to Spurs’ enquiry, but with Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, and Ilya Zabarnyi already departing this summer, the Cherries are expected to resist any late offers for one of their most influential players.
