Ghanaian international, Antoine Semenyo has asserted that the draw against giants Chelsea wasn't a fair results since they were the better side and deserved to grind maximum points.

The Cherries came from a goal down to hold the Blues to a very entertaining 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening in match-day 21 of the Premier League.

Cole Palmer opened the scoring account for the homesters inside thirteen minutes but two second half goals from Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo gave the visitors the lead for the first time in the game.

However, Recce James' brilliant stoppage time free kick salvaged a point for Enzo Marasca's men after full time.

Speaking in a post-match interview on TNT Sports, the 25-year-old stated they had a very poor first half but returned stronger looking very determined but is unfortunate they couldn't run out with all three points.

“We defended for our lives at times, and I feel that we should have got three points. At half-time, the manager wasn’t happy! He livened us up; we needed to get our press right, and we did that from the get-go in the second half.

"That resilience and determination is how we’ve got our points this season. We all work for each other, and that’s what we’re about: we’re resilient. I think we should have gotten something from the home game against Chelsea, and we could’ve gotten three points here, but we take the point and move on to the next one."

AFC Bournemouth will play as guests to Newcastle United at the St James Park in the next round of matches.
