Ghana will host Sudan at the Ohene Gyan Stadium on the mid-afternoon of Thursday, October 10, in match-day three of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Both countries have met severally in both Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers in the past years but are yet to butt heads in any major tournament at senior level with Ghana on top in this fixture with five wins from their previous six meetings.
While the Black Stars aim at finally getting their first win of the ongoing qualifiers to redeem themselves and enhance their qualification chances, the Sudanese will also head into this game with so much motivation as they look to get themselves back on winning ways from the loss in the last round of matches.
MATCH PREVIEW
The four-time African champions got stunned by Angola in the opening fixture in Group F, thanks to a late Milson goal of which nobody saw coming and halted their incredible twenty-four year unbeaten record in Kumasi.
The Black Stars subsequently got held by Niger to a pulsating 1-1 draw in Berkane- in a game many believed it was going to be an easy one for the giants.
Stade Rennais left-back Alidu Seidu opened the scoring account just on the stroke of half time but Oumar Sako's goal in the last nine minutes of the game shared the points among the two nations after full time.
On the opposition end, Sudan made a very good start to the campaign with a vital 1-0 win over Niger, courtesy Abo Eisa's 51st minute strike.
Despite exhibiting a stupendous performance against group-leaders Angola in the second game, the Falcons of Jediane slipped to a painful 2-1 defeat in their second game in Luanda and will definitely seek redemption this time around.
